Owner reporting
Hotel owner reporting software built on the work your hotels already record
Most owner reports are assembled by hand: STAR numbers from one download, revenue from another, a paragraph from each GM, all pasted into a template the week it is due. Owners and asset managers receive a document that arrives late and reads differently from hotel to hotel, and management-company leaders lose days producing it.
GuestEQ keeps more of the inputs in one place, from STAR analysis and revenue views to sales and operations activity, and gives the report itself a structure: an Owner's Report with sections your team writes and reviews.
Who it is for
Whoever produces the owner report, whoever contributes to it, and whoever reads it.
Management-company executives
Owner reports that look the same from hotel to hotel, produced without a week of copying and pasting.
General managers
A structured place to write the month's commentary, next to the numbers it is about.
Revenue and sales leaders
STAR, pickup, and booked group business already in the system when the report is written.
Owners and asset managers
A consistent report each period, with the reasoning behind the numbers rather than numbers alone.

What it is not. GuestEQ is not an accounting system. Revenue is calculated from room occupancy and daily rate, and pickup and rate information comes from imported reports, so figures are not reconciled to your general ledger. Budget commentary is written from your own figures. The Owner's Report sits in GuestEQ's Above Property area, and its setup for your portfolio is confirmed during scoping.
From source data to a sent report
Step 1: Bring the data in
Upload the STAR report. Pickup and revenue reports arrive at GuestEQ's report email addresses. Sales and operations are already recorded.
Step 2: Review the numbers
Read STAR against the competitive set, revenue against the prior period, and the sales and operations activity behind them.
Step 3: Write each section
The GM or leader responsible writes the commentary for each section of the Owner's Report, from their own figures and the views above.
Step 4: Review and send
Colleagues comment on sections before the report goes out, and scheduled reports and digests keep leaders current between reports.

Where it changes the reporting cycle
Month-end at a management company
Each GM writes the same sections, in the same place, against the same STAR and revenue views, so the executive reviewing ten reports is comparing like with like.
An owner asks why the month was soft
The answer draws on pickup by stay date, STAR against the competitive set, and the group business that was booked or lost, all of which are already in GuestEQ.
A new GM's first owner report
The section structure tells them what the owner expects, and comments from their regional director arrive before the report is sent, not after.
Between reports
A Daily Digest and scheduled reports keep management-company leaders informed day to day, so the owner report is not the first time anyone looks.
The detail behind the report
An owner report is only as good as the operating record under it. The revenue views are covered in hotel revenue management software for portfolios, and the above-property tools that keep leaders current between reports are covered in multi-property portfolio management.
Questions about hotel owner reporting
Does GuestEQ write the owner report automatically?
No. GuestEQ gives the report a consistent structure and keeps the supporting STAR, revenue, and sales information in the same system, but the commentary in each section is written and edited by your team. Expect a more consistent reporting process, not a report that writes itself.
Are revenue figures reconciled to our accounting system?
No. The revenue dashboard calculates revenue from room occupancy and daily rate, and pickup and rate information arrives through imported reports. It is operating data for review and commentary, not a general ledger or an audited financial statement.
What information does the owner report draw on?
STAR reports you upload, pickup and revenue reports sent to GuestEQ's dedicated report email addresses, sales activity recorded in GuestEQ, and operational records from the modules each hotel uses. Sections such as spend versus budget are written by your team from your own figures.
Can reports go to owners on a schedule?
Scheduled reports carry a defined schedule, recipients, and formats, with a record of the last and next run. How owners receive their report, whether as a scheduled email, a prepared document, or something else, is agreed with you during setup.
Does this work for hotels whose brand provides its own reporting?
Yes. Brand reporting stays in place. GuestEQ is used for the owner-facing narrative and the operating detail around it, at the hotels where that helps.
